ABOUT THE TOOLBOX

Photoshop’s tools are kept in a palette called the Toolbox. They can be selected by either clicking on them or pressing the relevant shortcut key. Although 25 tools are visible, there are many more grouped behind other tools. Grouped tools have a black triangle in their bottom, right corner. To access hidden tools, click on a tool to display the options in the Options bar.

Working With The Palette Dock

The palette dock displays the available palettes within Photoshop. It is possible to alter the display of the palette dock to either show more or less of the palettes, enabling you to conserve workspace if and when required. This ability to collapse palettes to icons is a new feature to this version of Photoshop. By clicking on any of the icons, you display the palette contents.
